
If a recorder is having issues communicating with DDNS or P2P servers, and all necessary ports are forwarded and confirmed, check the DNS settings.
Some routers will not auto-assign these settings as expected, and the firmware's default DNS may be overseas, leading to communications issues.
A safe bet is to use known stateside DNS servers, such as Google's 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4.
