March 1, 2010 – West Chester, PA – North American Cable Equipment, Inc. (NACE) announced today the ST-F35TEST and ST-F28TEST closed circuit television (CCTV) meters for the security industry. The ST-F35TEST and ST-F28TEST were developed for on-site installation and maintenance of CCTV monitoring systems. Both units can be used for displaying video, controlling PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras, generating images, capturing data from RS485 connections and testing LAN cables. Features common to both units include:

Video display automatically adapts and displays either NTSC or PAL formats.
A NTSC / PAL multi-system colorbar video generator that is seven-system switchable and can transmit/receive seven-system color images.
Adjustable video display LCD brightness, contrast and color saturation.
Video level testing with video signals measured in IRE or mV.
PTZ address scanning with search of PTZ camera IDs.
PTZ control with pan/tilt control of the camera’s PT unit, zoom-in/zoom-out of the lens, adjustment of lens focus and aperture, and sets and calls of the preset position.
Supports more than 20 PTZ protocols such as PELCO-P, PELCO-D, Samsung, etc.
Data analyst capability by capturing and analyzing RS485 controlling data to help the technician to discover problems.
Powerful LAN cable testing tool measuring the connection status, displaying the sequence of connections and the LAN cable number.
Multiple interfaces and baud rates supported including RS232, RS485 and RS422 with baud rates ranging from 150, 600 to 19200bps.
Both models include a LAN cable tester, power supply, BNC cable, RS485 cable and lithium ion polymer battery as standard accessories.

The ST-F28TEST has a 2.8” TFT-LCD screen with 960x240 resolution. The ST-F35TEST has a 3.5” TFT-LCD screen with 960x260 resolution plus additional features including audio input testing and a DC12V 1A power output to power a CCTV camera.
