North American Cable, Inc. Announces Support
and Incentives for DIRECTV® Bulk Total Choice® Limited Analog Programming Packages

August 15, 2004 – West Chester, PA – North American Cable Equipment, Inc, (NACE) announced today it is implementing DIRECTV’s Bulk Total Choice® Limited Analog Programming Packages to Multiple Dwelling Unit properties. As a DIRECTV Master System Operator (MSO), NACE is responsible for the distribution of DIRECTV® programming services to multiple dwelling markets through its network of nearly 6,000 satellite TV dealers/installers. This new headend processed Analog Bulk programming service complements the DIRECTV Digital Bulk and Digital DTH (direct-to-home) programming to the MDU market already offered by NACE.

The Bulk Total Choice® Limited Analog Service is designed to support a headend analog package whereby DIRECTV programming services can be provided to select properties without requiring property owners/managers or residents to have a DIRECTV receiver in every unit. This service is available in two packages: 51 channels without local channels for $12.99 per month per unit, and 51 channels plus local channels where available at $13.99 per month per unit.

As a DIRECTV Master System Operator, NACE is offering aggressive Pre-Paid Commissions (PPCs) and free receivers, modulators and headend systems to qualifying System Operators targeting the bulk MDU market.

According to Aaron Starr, NACE founder and President, “The Bulk Total Choice Limited Analog Service coupled with financial and equipment incentives from NACE is a triple win for all. For DIRECTV it’s an opportunity to market and deliver programming to underserved markets. For dealers/installers who become System Operators it’s the potential to realize greater revenues and profitability associated with commissions on programming, service fees and incentives to offset upfront equipment costs that can impact cash flow. And for MDU property owners and managers it’s a great opportunity to offer an amenity at reasonable costs.”

To expedite its MSO activities and provide timely information to current and future System Operators, NACE has launched a website dedicated to the DIRECTV MSO program. Interested parties may visit the site at www.nacemso.com and login in using “nacemso” as the login ID and “mduprogram” as the password. Site visitors may also request a System Operator application. NACE System Operators have the opportunity to sell and install complete systems with DIRECTV® programming to apartment buildings, condominiums, gated communities, assisted living facilities, Home Owners Association communities, dormitories, and other MDU-type sites.

North American Cable Equipment, Inc. founded in 1992 with headquarters in West Chester, Pennsylvania and sales and distribution facilities in Pennsylvania, Florida, Missouri, and Nevada is a leading supplier and specialist in satellite television processing and distribution technologies.
