The Fibertronix line of Single-Mode, stranded, loose tube, armored, direct burial fiber optic cables feature a central steel wire which
provides a high tensile strength while protecting the individual fiber optic cables from breaking during installation. The individual fiber
tubes are stranded around the central steel wire into a compact and circular cable core. Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate
(APL) is applied around the cable cores and is filled with a compound to protect the individual cables from water ingress. The cable
core is then covered with a thin polyethylene inner sheath which is then has a PSP (Plastic -Steel - Plastic) protective layer longitudinally
applied. The cables are then finished with a thicker Polyethylene outer jacket.
